What is the abstract submission fee?
There is no fee for AAI members (paid through December 31, 2023) to submit an abstract. Nonmembers are subject to a submission fee of $140. Join AAI now to get immediate access to the no fee opportunity, as well as the reduced registration fees.
How long can my abstract be? Can I include images?
Your abstract title is limited to 200 characters. Your abstract body is limited to 1,500 characters. Title and authors do not count against the 1,500-character limit.
No figures, charts or images can be included.
How many abstracts can I submit?
There is no limit to the number of abstracts an author can submit. Do not send multiple submissions of the same abstract; duplicate abstracts will be rejected.
Can I revise my abstract?
Revisions to your submission can be made before the submission deadline of 11:59 PM ET, December 5, 2023. No edits will be accepted after then.
To make changes to your abstract prior to the deadline, you must log into our abstract submission platform and edit there. You will or will not receive a new confirmation email.

When and how will I know if my abstract is accepted?
Abstract acceptance notices will be sent first week of March via e-mail to the presenting author only. It is the responsibility of the presenting author to notify and ensure that all co-authors are informed that the abstract has either been accepted or rejected, and to disseminate the presentation scheduling information. If your abstract is accepted, you will receive guidelines for preparing poster and podium presentations.
Should I register for IMMUNOLOGY2024™ to present my abstract?
Yes, all abstract presenters must register to attend IMMUNOLOGY2024™.
What are late breaking abstracts?
Late breaking abstracts are for those submitters who miss the regular submission period. These submissions are only offered the opportunity to present as a poster. Authors of late breaking abstracts are not eligible to apply for IMMUNOLOGY2024™ travel grants or awards.
Can I request my abstract be presented on a certain day or time?
Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate date/time presentation requests. We will however be respectful of those requests due to religious requirements.
When can I get into the Poster Hall to set up my poster? When must I remove my poster?
Presenters are to place their posters in their assigned space between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM on their scheduled day. On Saturday and Sunday, posters must be removed between 4:30 PM and 5:00 PM. On Monday, posters must be removed between 3:30 PM and 4:00 PM. Posters not removed will be discarded.
