Postdoctoral Research Fellow

Huntsman Cancer Institute
Salt Lake City, Utah, USA

The Young Lab at the Huntsman Cancer Institute is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral researcher. We are a translational immunology laboratory that studies the immune response to cancer immunotherapies. We aim to engineer therapeutic strategies to improve the immune system’s ability to destroy cancer without causing immune-mediated toxicities (such as diabetes, colitis and thyroid disorders).

This is a collaborative research effort using unique preclinical mouse models and interrogating clinical samples to improve our mechanistic understanding of the autoimmune and anti-tumor immune responses initiated by cancer immunotherapies. We also use several cellular and molecular techniques to identify changes to the immune response that correlate with disease outcomes including high-throughput sequencing (single cell RNA and TCR-sequencing), cytometry (spectral and flow) and histology.

This position is ideal for a dedicated individual with strong communication skills who has a desire to gain extensive research experience as a member of a dynamic team.

More information about the Young Lab is available at the website –
