Medical College of Georgia’s Immunology Center at Augusta University invites established immunologist candidates for a tenure eligible position at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, Professor level within the broad field of immunology. While all areas of immunology are of interest, applicants in the fields of mucosal immunity, autoimmunity, tumor immunology, and infectious disease are encouraged to apply. Research interest can be in any of the following disease areas cancer immunology, autoimmune disease, vascular immunology, and leukemia/lymphoma immunology. Additionally, immunology research areas are T cell biology, checkpoint inhibitors, engineered immune cells of any type, antigen presentation and dendritic cell (DC) biology, antibody- dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC), Fc receptors, complement, and monocyte and macrophage biology. The successful candidate will have current funding equivalent to at least two R01 grants that are active until at least 2025.
Responsibilities
Funding – 75%
Expected to maintain continuous anasyions National Institutes of Health (NIH) funding
Teaching – 10%
Expected to train graduate students and postdocs & possibly teach advance Immunology course
Service – 10%
Participate on IMMCG & AU committees
Other – 5%
Other duties as assigned by Director
