Post Bachelor’s Degree Internship in Inflammatory Lung Diseases

Yale University
New Haven, Connecticut, USA

The job and the lab

We are seeking a highly motivated post-bachelor trainee eager to deepen their understanding and training in the field of immunology and host-pathogen interaction. Our lab aims to investigate how dysfunctional host responses to bacterial infections, particularly by monocytes/macrophages, contribute to chronic lung inflammatory diseases. Specifically, our group has a longstanding interest in cystic fibrosis (CF), a recessive genetic disease that affects various organs.

The candidate will be working under the supervision of Drs. Bruscia and Murray in the Department of Pediatrics at the Yale School of Medicine. Our laboratory is conveniently situated in the heart of the Yale School of Medicine campus and is within walking distance from downtown New Haven.

Previous laboratory experience with a proven track record is required.

How to Apply:

Interested candidates are encouraged to submit a detailed curriculum vitae, a letter briefly outlining their scientific background and career goals, along with contact information for two references. Applications should be sent to Drs. Bruscia and Murray at bruscia.emanuela@yale.edu and murray.s.thomas@yale.edu.

We will commence reviewing applications immediately and continue until the position is filled. Join us in this exciting opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking research at Yale School of Medicine!
