Postdoc

Indiana University School of Medicine
Indianapolis, Indiana, USA

Postdoctoral Position in Dr. Joan Cook-Mills’ Lab at the HB Wells Center for Pediatric Research at Indiana University School of Medicine

The postdoc opening is for a highly motivated individual interested in initiation of allergy early in life. Our lab utilizes basic research and translational approaches to determine mechanisms for:

  1. development of food allergy in infants
  2. development of allergic inflammation in the lung in infants
  3. airway microbiome regulation development of airway allergic responses
  4. development of dendritic cells in the fetus and infants
  5. regulation of allergy in infants by maternal pro-inflammatory lipids, vitamin E isoforms, and 5-hydroxytryptophan.

Experimental approaches span molecular analysis of gene expression, cell signaling, mutant mouse models of allergic disease, and analyses of patient samples.

Candidates should have a PhD in immunology or a related field. Experience with mouse models of allergic disease, flow cytometry, molecular biology, leukocyte cell cultures, microbiome, or omics analyses are preferred.

For details, contact Joan Cook-Mills at joancook@iu.edu.
