Postdoctoral Fellow or Research Scientist

A post-doctoral fellow position in translational immunology is available in the lab of Dr. Sun Jung Kim, Center of Autoimmune and Musculoskeletal and Hematopoietic diseases, Feinstein Institute for Medical Research, Hofstra School of Medicine in Manhasset, NY.  The laboratory’s research interest focuses on understanding the differentiation mechanism and pathogenic function of follicular helper T cells (Tfhs) in SLE patients. Specifically, we seek to understand the immune metabolism profile of each Tfh subsets and peripheral helper T cells (Tph) in SLE compare to healthy individuals. We also investigate inflammatory function in age (or autoimmune)-associated B cells (ABCs) in SLE. Highly collaborative projects inter-institutions and NIH-grant funded.

Qualifications:

Candidates should have a Ph.D, M.D., or equivalent degree, less than 4 years of post-doctoral experience, and training in immunology, cell biology, and biochemistry. Previous experience in molecular biology is essential. The candidate should have excellent writing and communication skills. This position is subject to a background investigation.
