How do I register in advance?
- Log into your AAI member account.
- Once you are logged in, there will be a button on your homepage which takes you into the registration system.

What does my registration fee include?
The President’s Program, 10+ Career Award presentations and lectures, over 200 scientific sessions, many exhibitors of interest to immunologists, A Taste of Chicago, the IMMUNOLOGY2024™ Opening Night Reception, 2,000 poster presentations over six unopposed poster sessions, a live podcast, a Career Corner which includes professional photographs and LinkedIn profile rewrites, 30+ exhibitor workshops, and access to a wide range of immunology professionals from the most senior to those just starting who share the same passion as you—immunology.
Is there an exhibit hall only or single day registration fee?
No. To visit the exhibit hall or attend any part of IMMUNOLOGY2024™, you must register for the entire meeting.
Do I have to be a member to register for IMMUNOLOGY2024™?
No, membership is not required to attend the meeting, however there is a difference in the member vs. nonmember registration fees. When you join AAI, you have immediate access to the member fees and will save over $310-$420 in registration fees, depending on when you register!
Do I have to register and pay the registration fee if I submitted an abstract?
Yes, you must register and pay the registration fee to present your abstract at the meeting. The abstract submission fee is a separate fee and does not include registration for the annual meeting.
What registration category should I use if I am “in training?”
There are 4 AAI Trainee Membership categories:
- Postdoctoral fellow (or medical resident) in an immunology (or related) training program.
- Young professional/post-baccalaureate student within five years of receiving a BA/BS or equivalent degree
- Graduate student in an education/training program that could lead to a career in immunology or a related field.
- Undergraduate student enrolled in an undergraduate program with an interest in Immunology.
I am a high school teacher. How do I register?
You must register on-site. Please bring your teacher ID card or a letter signed by your department head, research advisors, or principal.
I am a high school student. How do I register?
You must register on-site. Please bring your student ID card or a letter signed by your department head, research advisors, principal, or teacher. We request that high school students be always accompanied by a registered adult. Appropriate behavior by all students is required.
I am an undergraduate faculty member. How do I access the Undergraduate Institution Faculty rate?
To access this rate your institution will need to be listed as a Primarily Undergraduate Institution (PUI). This is the list we use. Once you have confirmed your institution is a PUI please follow these instructions:
- If you are a member of AAI, you will need to email meetings@aai.org.
- If you are a nonmember, the Undergraduate Institution Faculty fee will show as an option when registering.
Will I receive my badge prior to traveling to the IMMUNOLOGY2024™?
Badges will not be mailed. You will be able to pick up your badge onsite.
What do I do if I’ve lost my badge?
You may purchase a replacement badge at the registration area of the convention center. Each replacement badge will cost $50.
Who may I inform if I have special needs?
If you have a disability or special need that may impact your participation in IMMUNOLOGY2024™, check the appropriate box when registering and describe your disability-related needs. AAI Staff will contact you before the meeting to discuss your needs. AAI cannot ensure the availability of appropriate accommodations without prior notification of need.
May I substitute someone in my place?
It is permitted for a meeting registrant to have a substitute. If the substitute’s registration fee is less than the original registrant’s, the difference will be refunded. If the substitute’s registration fee is more, the registration will be held until the balance is paid and the original registrant submits the substitute’s contact information with written request for substitution.
Send requests to meetings@aai.org by Thursday, April 4, 2024. No substitution requests will be processed onsite and refunds will not be issues for no-shows.
Will I be able to register onsite?
Yes, but there will be an additional $100 fee to register onsite.
May I bring a guest to the meeting?
Anyone attending the meeting who wishes to attend any sessions or visit the Exhibit Hall must be a registered attendee. Guest tickets are available for purchase to attend the IMMUNOLOGY2024™ Gala.
Where may I purchase a Guest Ticket?
Guest tickets are available for the Gala only. You may purchase one for you and for your guest when registering for the meeting.
If you wish to purchase a ticket for you or a guest, after you have registered, you may go back into your registration and add it to your registration. A link to get back into your registration can be found in your confirmation email, which was sent to you immediately after you completed your registration.
What is the deadline to register for IMMUNOLOGY2024™?
You may register up until the last day of the meeting (Tuesday, May 7, 2024).
How can I get a letter of invitation?
You can download a letter of invitation template here.
When will I receive my confirmation email?
Registration confirmation emails are sent immediately after you complete registering for the meeting. If you haven’t received one, please check your junk and trash folders. If you still don’t find it, please email aai@xpressreg.net for a copy.
What is the IMMUNOLOGY2024™ cancellation policy?
If you cancel by 11:59 PM Eastern, April 4, 2024, you will be refunded ½ of the registration fee. All monies paid for the roundtables, Gala tickets, Gala guest tickets, and centennial wheel tickets will be refunded at face value. There will be no refunds after April 4, 2024.
For example, an AAI member registered before April 4 ($520) and bought tickets to the CSOW roundtable ($40) and a Gala ticket ($40). Should this member cancel, they would be refunded $260 ( ½ the registration fee) + $40 for the CSOW roundtable and $40 for the Gala ticket.

Is there a shuttle for my hotel?
There will be shuttle service from those hotels which are not within walking distance. Hotels with shuttle service are identified with a bus icon on the IMMUNOLOGY2024™ Hotels page.

Where is the nursing lounge/lactation room?
There is a Mamava Lactation Suite on Level 1 of the West Building (the location of IMMUNOLOGY2024™. Please download the Mamava Mobile App to unlock the suite.
Is there childcare available?
Yes, there will be childcare available. Please check back here on the IMMUNOLOGY2024™ website for details as they become available.
