Spatial Multiomics Development of an Ecological Atlas of Breast Cancer Evolution
Speaker
Mehdi Damaghi, Ph.D., Principal Investigator, Stony Brook Medicine, Stony Brook University
A conducive microenvironment is crucial to cancer initiation and formation of a tumor, with a growing emphasis on understanding the evolutionary trajectories of precancerous cells in their variable ecosystems. Here we provide a detailed eco-evolutionary atlas for DCIS progression and upstaging. We developed multiplex IF panels for staining and analysis on the MACSima™ Platform to characterize the habitats for 3D spheroids, organoids, and patients’ samples. Spatial proteomic data was integrated with MALDI mass spectrometry metabolomics and lipidomics to produce a detailed breast cancer landscape profile.
