Postdoctoral Associate

University of Utah
Salt Lake City, Utah, USA

The Department of Pathology at the University of Utah invites applications for a postdoctoral position in the laboratory of Dr. Maria Bettini in the Division of Microbiology and Immunology. Research interests include T cell biology, autoimmunity, epigenetic regulation of T cell fate decisions, development of adoptive regulatory T cell therapies, metabolic regulation of Foxp3+ regulatory T cell function. Currently funded and available projects include: (1) T cell receptor regulation of T cell fate decisions and persistence in autoimmunity; (2) biophysical parameters of autoimmune TCR activation in the context of susceptible HLAs; (3) metabolic, genetic, and transcriptional modification of regulatory T cells for improved immunotherapies. Projects will involve training in cutting edge cellular and molecular approaches, including novel genetically modified mouse models, TCR retrogenic mice, humanized mouse models, TCR mutagenesis and biophysical measurements of ligand binding, single cell transcriptomic and epigenetic approaches, metabolomic and lipidomic studies. The candidate will join a dynamic and collaborative department with opportunities for additional training in cutting edge technologies, grant development and writing.

For details, please contact Maria Bettini at maria.bettini@path.utah.edu.
